“DIVIDE THE KINGDOM” – ‘as seen on TikTok…’
This one went a bit nuts. A cheeky poem written and performed in the midst of the recent ‘Unite the Kingdom’ march. Tensions between the right and left are high, creating a wonderful artform in the comments section of the post.

“PISSED UP” – written on the way home from a spoken word night, where a bloke vomited uncontrollably on the carriage. It was pretty disgusting and beautiful at the same time… we’ve all been there.

“WORK” – written back in 2014, an ode to the pain of the working life. What else would a Yorkshireman complain about?! Performed on open mic at ‘Av a Word’.

“SAME” – back to Lost Souls in Balham, one of London’s best open mic and spoken word nights. Same is inspired by the monotony of daily life and existence.

📍TESTING GROUND: MILE END, LONDON
“A TO B” – the first time trying this poem live at Testing Ground at Bard Books in Mile End. Inspired by the late nights and chaos of London, this is a poem zipping through the entire alphabet, served in 170 lines, all from memory.

“A QUIET PLACE” – performed at Paper Tiger Poetry open mic in Vauxhall. A piece inspired by the death of the British high street, with a homage to John Cooper Clarke.

“DIGITAL LOVE” – performed ont open mic scene at Orbit Brewery in South London. Inspired by those idiots that argue and post updates of everything on Facebook.

“MILES AWAY” – performed live at Lost Souls open mic night in Balham. The first new poem written in 2025 and pleased to see it well received on the night.

“BLUE MONDAY” performed at Queen of the South, Tulse Hill. My first live performance in 5 years, great to be back on the scene complaining about life.
“WORK” written back in 2014 but as relevant as ever. Always reyt good to moan about work down at the boozer.
“THE DAY ALCOHOL RUINED MY LIFE” a poingant reminder of all the things I could have been, if alcohol didn’t ruin my life…
